Two highschool besties take-on a vibrant fun-loving spirit to create bold and colourful tableware.

“I was browsing through all these neutral, minimal plates and platters, and I just couldn't get excited about any of it.” Salma Shehatta, founder of Kin Suki, tells SceneHome.
Bored from the sea of beige and grey, and craving a sense of empowered colour-mania and a place for self expression, Salma Shehata and Malak Dorra founders of Kin Suki decided to take action by introducing their outlandish tableware, designed to feel personalised and celebrate the joy of colours. “Our brand isn't about the products themselves - it's about capturing that feeling we've all experienced of finding something truly unique and special,” Malak Dorra and Salma Shehatta explain.
Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, meaning ‘golden joinery’, Salma Shehata and Malak Dorra introduce a spectrum of hues into their clients’ homes. “Your home should be a reflection of you - and that's what our plates are all about,” Shehatta elaborates.
Designed with striking and picturesque prints, Kin Suki’s first limited edition collection brings a sense of vacation to your coastal home, whether in Sahel, Gouna, or wherever your travels take you. The Tree dessert set exhibits exceptional distinctiveness with its distinct colorway and a singular tree at the core of each plate, amplifying their one-of-a-kind philosophy/approach.
The Leopard dinner set exudes the vacation spirit. Each plate showcases the raw power of the jungle with its bold leopard-inspired patterns. The Papaya dessert set, with its vibrant visual representations, embodies the energy and personality of the brand, unveiling an oasis of beauty through greens and crimson. Styled after the elegance and regal presence of Ibis bird, the Ibis dessert set embodies a sense of poise and sophistication in each plate, sweeping you into a realm of pastels.
Driven by their aim to evoke happiness and a sense of freedom, Dorra and Shehatta emphasise that their customers are always their top priority. “We really put ourselves in their shoes, thinking deeply about the specific moments and emotions we want to evoke. who they are, what stage of life they're in, and how they plan to use and display these plates in their homes.”
