Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ Latest Forest Residence in Dubai
A forest made up of 35,000 trees, outnumbering the number of residents and hosting over 20 different bird species.
Aligning with the UAE's commitment to transform its desert into a lush green haven, Majid Al Futtaim Properties has introduced the first forest living community in the heart of Dubai: Ghaf Wood. Here, nature takes precedence, with trees outnumbering residents, creating a unique living experience.
Spread across 738,000 square meters, this community will host up to 35,000 trees, playing a crucial role in enhancing air quality by absorbing air pollutants and greenhouse gases.
Known as ‘Green Lung’, the Ghaf community boasts an expansive ratio of open space—15 square meters per resident—which exceeds the World Health Organization's standard by 40 percent. This abundant greenery not only beautifies the area but also supports a healthy, serene environment.
A standout feature of Ghaf Wood is its role as a sanctuary for over 20 different bird species, emphasizing the project's commitment to health, wellness, and relaxation. The design seamlessly integrates with nature, using floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure a constant visual connection to the verdant surroundings. Residents can choose from one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, as well as penthouses, all designed to offer a forest lifestyle.
The community prioritizes accessibility and walkability, featuring eight kilometers of walking trails and a thrilling three-and-a-half-kilometer biking loop. These design elements promote a healthier lifestyle and foster a deeper connection with nature.
