1990s Classroom Experience Opens at Mirdif City Centre
Organised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the exhibit allows both adults and children to feel what learning was like in the pre‑digital era.

An exhibition recreating a 1990s-style classroom has opened at City Centre Mirdif, giving visitors a chance to explore a nostalgic school setting complete with wooden desks, chalkboards, boxy retro computers, old school cassette players, and static‑tinged cartoons.
The immersive experience, organised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), runs until August 31st and allows both adults and children to feel what learning was like in the pre‑digital era. Visitors can physically interact with the setup - writing on chalkboards, slotting in cassettes, and watching deliberately flawed graphics - bridging generational experiences while highlighting how much school environments have evolved.
The exhibition offers a thoughtful way to share the analog school experience with younger generations, blending nostalgia with learning about how education has changed over time.
