Dubai Metro Celebrates 15th Anniversary With LEGO-Themed Train

As part of its 15th-anniversary celebrations, the Dubai Metro has unveiled LEGO-themed train carriages that feature colourful decorations, playful characters and iconic LEGO bricks. Passengers can enjoy this whimsical experience throughout September as the train travels its usual routes. 

In partnership with LEGO, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, Igloo, and the Emirates Post Group, Dubai Metro is offering a series of giveaways and promotions throughout the month. Among the highlights, individuals born on September 9th, referred to as ‘Dubai Metro babies’, have been invited to a special birthday party at LEGOLAND Dubai. 

In addition to the themed train, the Mall of the Emirates station has received a special redesign to mark the occasion, although the station name remains unchanged. Other festivities include Igloo's giveaway of Metro-themed ice creams at several stations, where lucky passengers had the chance to find a special code in select wrappers. From September 21st to the 27th, the Dubai Metro Music Festival will also bring live music to various metro stations. 

To further commemorate the milestone, Emirates Post has released four limited-edition postage stamps for collectors.
