It’s not that Cairo doesn’t have any greenery - but why limit it to sidewalk trees, closed off parks, or that length of grass on our median strips? The further you venture downtown the more overwhelming the concrete jungle can seem. What if we look up on our brickwork and see even more green? Zero Chemia’s upcoming urban rooftop gardening workshop is on to bring that vision to light.
While the workshop focuses on rooftop gardening, the term ‘urban gardening’ can refer to any act of gardening done in buildings which may not specifically accommodate it. The basics of this workshop can be applied to other aspects of urban gardening, whether it’s in the balcony or along the window sill.
