Egypt Launches Initiative to Support Workers Abroad in Eight Countries
The Ministry of Labor has unveiled a new initiative to support Egyptian workers abroad by establishing representation offices in eight major destination countries.

The Ministry of Labor has launched a new initiative aimed at protecting and supporting Egyptian workers in eight key countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Italy, and Germany. As part of the initiative, the Ministry will establish dedicated labour representation offices in each of these countries.
These offices are intended to serve as direct points of contact between Egyptian workers and the Egyptian government, helping resolve labour disputes, ensure compliance with employment contracts, and facilitate communication between workers and their employers.
The broader effort also focuses on improving legal protections and working conditions for Egyptians abroad. In addition to offering individual support, the initiative aims to raise awareness about workers’ rights and responsibilities under local laws and agreements.
