One Killed After Debris From Intercepted Missile Falls in Abu Dhabi

A Pakistani national was killed after debris from an intercepted missile fell in the Baniyas area of Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning.

In a statement posted on X, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said authorities responded to the incident after air defence systems intercepted a ballistic missile, resulting in falling debris.

The latest death brings the number of fatalities in the United Arab Emirates since Iranian attacks began to eight. Previous victims include Emirati, Pakistani, Nepali, Palestinian, and Bangladeshi nationals.

The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions following a series of attacks linked to Iran, as the ongoing conflict involving Israel and the United States continues to impact security across the Gulf.
