New Arts Venue at Mall of the Emirates to Host Musicals, Plays & Shows
The venue will feature a 575-seat theatre, ten dance and rehearsal studios, a restaurant, and the first ever Pineapple Dance Studios outside London.
Mall of the Emirates is set to introduce a new cultural hotspot with the opening of New Covent Garden, a dynamic arts venue with a variety of live performances. The venue will feature a 575-seat theatre, ten dance and rehearsal studios, a restaurant, and the first ever Pineapple Dance Studios outside London, bringing a broad spectrum of performances to Dubai, including West End musicals, Arabic plays, ballet, comedy, concerts, and family-friendly shows.
Behind the project are pop star Lisa Scott-Lee, from the iconic 90s group Steps, and her husband, creative director Johnny Shentall-Lee, who are passionate about building a creative hub for artists in Dubai. Their vision is to create a space where performers from all disciplines—dancers, musicians, actors—can rehearse, train, and showcase their work.
The first show at the new venue, scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, will be in partnership with Live Nation Middle East, kicking off a new chapter for Dubai’s arts and entertainment scene.
