New National Programme to Help People Launch Plastic Recycling Plants
Primarily targeting university graduates with innovative ideas in recycling, the initiative also looks to boost the efforts of those involved in non-governmental and startup-based endeavours.
The Ministry of Environment has launched a new initiative to empower young people who are passionate about recycling plastic waste to tackle the issue head-on. The Egypt Plastic Development Initiative will help young people learn everything they need to know about setting up their own plastic recycling plants, from the processes of recycling plastic, to the laws and regulations that accompany them.
Primarily targeting university graduates with innovative ideas in recycling, the initiative also looks to boost the efforts of those involved in non-governmental and startup-based endeavours who already have projects on the ground.
Final projects will be evaluated for feasibility, with the most promising ones to be developed with the initiative’s resources.
Applicants must be Egyptian, aged between 21 to 35 years old, and complete an interview. To qualify, you can register through https://forms.gle/UCKyrDr6xwpHBLXE8.
