Sharjah to Host eSports Championship With AED 100,000 Prize Pool
The two-day event will showcase competitive gaming with popular titles such as FIFA, Tekken 8 and Super Smash Bros.
Sharjah Media City (Shams) is set to host the Shams eSports Championship at the Shams Business Centre on November 22 and 23, 2024, aiming to amplify the eSports scene in Sharjah and the UAE.
The two-day event will showcase competitive gaming with popular titles: FIFA 25 on Friday, followed by Tekken 8 and Super Smash Bros. on Saturday. A total prize pool of AED 100,000 will be distributed among the top eight players for each game, with additional rewards, including a prize wheel worth AED 5,000, also available.
The championship will contribute to positioning Sharjah as a regional hub for gaming and eSports while fostering new talent in the industry.
