AI Voice Monitoring System Made for Heart Attack Patients in Makkah

King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah has partnered with FluidAI to introduce an artificial intelligence-powered voice monitoring system designed to track heart attack patients after they leave hospital.

The initiative focuses on structured follow-up in the days immediately after discharge, a period considered critical for identifying complications. Using interactive voice technology, the system conducts clinical surveys by asking patients targeted questions about symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath.

Patient responses are analysed through automated risk assessment tools to distinguish between normal recovery patterns and potential signs of deterioration. If predefined risk criteria are met, the platform issues immediate alerts to the clinical team and directs the patient to seek emergency care.

The project is currently in a pilot phase involving between 20 and 30 patients who have recently experienced a heart attack. According to the medical city, the system equips nursing teams with digital triage tools to manage follow-up interactions more efficiently and prioritise cases based on clinical urgency.
