The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is launching a programme titled ‘A Professor for Every Factory,’ aimed at placing academic experts inside industrial facilities to support production and innovation.
The initiative, implemented with the Science Technology and Innovation Funding Authority, is designed to embed researchers directly within factory environments to address operational challenges using science-based solutions.
The programme focuses on translating research outputs into practical applications that can improve production efficiency, reduce costs and lower energy consumption across manufacturing operations.
By positioning academic specialists within factories, the initiative aims to strengthen links between research institutions and industry, while increasing reliance on local scientific expertise to solve technical challenges.
