454 Wildlife Births Recorded at King Salman Royal Reserve

The King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority has recorded 454 births among reintroduced wildlife through August 2026.

The births include sand gazelles, Nubian ibexes, Arabian oryxes and Arabian gazelles living within the reserve, which is the largest nature reserve in the Middle East.

The authority said the figures are a positive indicator of continued population growth among species that have been reintroduced to the area.

Its conservation programmes combine habitat management, field monitoring and protection measures intended to give native species suitable conditions to reproduce and re-establish stable populations.

The authority said the work also supports wider efforts to restore ecological balance and preserve biodiversity, in line with national environmental targets under Saudi Vision 2030.
