AG.AL Wins 2026 Esports World Cup Club Championship
Gwendal ‘Gwen’ Duparc’s Trackmania victory pushed AG.AL past Team Falcons to claim the Club Championship and its USD 7 million top prize.
Chinese esports club AG.AL has won the 2026 Esports World Cup Club Championship, overtaking two-time defending champions Team Falcons in the final stretch of the seven-week competition.
The title came down to the inaugural Trackmania playoffs in Paris. Team Falcons entered the decisive stage leading the standings with 4,600 points, but seven-time Trackmania World Champion Carl-Antoni ‘Carl Jr.’ Cloutier was eliminated in the quarterfinals, opening the door for AG.AL.
French player Gwendal ‘Gwen’ Duparc needed a third-place finish or better to secure the Club Championship for AG.AL. Competing in front of a home crowd against players representing Team Vitality, Team Liquid and Natus Vincere, he went one better and won the Trackmania final outright.
The victory added enough points to take AG.AL to 5,300 overall, ahead of Team Falcons on 4,600, and secured the USD 7 million first-place prize from the Club Championship pool. Duparc also earned USD 130,000 for winning the Trackmania tournament.
“It feels so great,” Duparc said after the win. “Anything can happen. I’ve done it, I’ve done the match of my life. Thank you everyone. This trophy is for you, for everyone.”
AG.AL had kept itself in contention throughout the competition with a win in TEKKEN 8 and three runner-up finishes across other titles, allowing the club to stay within reach of Falcons going into the final weekend.
The result ended the Saudi club’s attempt to win a third consecutive Club Championship after taking the title in both previous editions.
