Abu Dhabi Records 10,000 English Notary Transactions in 15 Months

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has completed nearly 10,000 English-language notary transactions over the past 15 months through its English Notary Services Bureau, a unit providing legal documentation services in English for individuals and businesses.
According to official data, the bureau processed 8,160 transactions in 2025, serving clients from 123 nationalities. A further 1,757 transactions were completed during the first quarter of 2026. Services offered by the bureau include issuing powers of attorney and notarising company documents, declarations, and board resolutions. Many of these services are available remotely, allowing users to complete procedures without visiting service centres.
Officials said the expansion of English-language services is part of broader efforts to improve accessibility and align legal processes with international standards. The use of digital platforms is intended to streamline procedures while maintaining security and reliability.
The English Notary Services Bureau is among the first specialised services of its kind in the region, combining English-language legal support with digital service delivery.
