Cairo University to Offer Free Breast Cancer Screenings
A free breast cancer screening convoy will take place at Cairo University's Faculty of Dentistry on July 13th and 14th.
Cairo University will host a free breast cancer screening convoy at its Faculty of Dentistry on July 13th and 14th in cooperation with the presidential 100 Million Health initiative, the National Cancer Institute and the Faculty of Dentistry.
The programme is open to citizens and will provide free early detection screenings, health education and medical guidance. A team of professors and doctors from the National Cancer Institute will participate in the initiative, while patients requiring additional diagnostic tests or treatment will be referred to the institute to complete their care.
According to Cairo University, the convoy aims to encourage regular breast cancer screening among women while expanding access to community health and awareness services through medical outreach campaigns. The initiative also seeks to promote early detection, which plays a key role in improving recovery rates and treatment outcomes.
The screening convoy forms part of Cairo University's wider community health initiatives, with specialists from the National Cancer Institute leading screening and awareness activities throughout the two-day programme.
