Coalition Intercepts Drone Over Makkah Region

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said a drone was intercepted and destroyed over the Makkah Region on November 3rd, 2026. Major General Turki Al-Malki, spokesperson for the coalition, announced the interception without reporting casualties or damage.

The announcement follows several interceptions on November 2nd. Two drones were intercepted and destroyed over the Riyadh Region, while Saudi air defences also intercepted a ballistic missile launched toward the country’s southern region, according to Al-Malki. The coalition attributed the missile launch to the Houthis.

Saudi authorities have reported a series of drone and missile interceptions in recent days, including threats targeting the Makkah, Riyadh, Eastern, Southern and Western regions.
