Cooler Weather Expected Across Egypt During Eid Al Adha

More stable weather conditions and a noticeable drop in temperatures are expected across Egypt throughout Eid Al Adha 2026, according to forecasts issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.

The cooler pattern is expected to begin from Wednesday and continue into the middle of next week, covering both Arafat Day and the first days of the Eid holiday period. According to Dr Manar Ghanem, a member of the authority’s media centre, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 29°C and 32°C, remaining below average seasonal levels for this time of year.

While daytime conditions are still expected to feel warm under direct sunlight due to solar exposure, evenings are forecast to remain generally mild, with slightly cooler conditions along coastal areas.

Wind activity is also expected to increase from Wednesday, contributing to more moderate weather conditions across several regions. Stronger winds are forecast along Mediterranean coastal areas, where gusts may occasionally reach speeds between 50 and 60 kilometres per hour.

The authority additionally stated that light rainfall remains possible across parts of the northern Mediterranean coast, with conditions varying from day to day.

According to the authority, the cooler weather pattern is linked to an upper-level trough, increased low-to-mid cloud cover, and surface air masses moving across the Mediterranean from southern Europe.
