A new 42-kilometre Dubai Metro Gold Line has been announced, set to connect 15 key areas and serve around 1.5 million residents upon completion. Scheduled for delivery on September 9th, 2032, the project is valued at AED 34 billion and will increase the total length of the Dubai Metro network by 35%.
Details of the expansion were shared by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who described the project as part of ongoing efforts to expand public transport capacity and coverage across the emirate.
The Gold Line will extend rail connectivity along a 42-kilometre corridor, linking established districts with emerging urban zones. The project is also expected to improve access to 55 major real estate developments currently under construction.
Once operational, the line is intended to support population growth and urban expansion by improving mobility and integrating new developments into the wider transport network.
