Dubai Police's Road Safety Campaign Provides Free Vehicle Inspections
The initiative includes 10-point vehicle inspections and aims to reduce road accident fatalities across Dubai.
Dubai Police, represented by its General Department of Traffic, has launched the Summer Without Accidents campaign in partnership with ENOC AutoPro, the vehicle maintenance arm of ENOC Group, to promote road safety across the emirate.
As part of the campaign, ENOC AutoPro will offer free vehicle inspections at its maintenance centres, covering 10 key safety checks, including tyres and engine oil, to help ensure vehicles are fit for the road. The company will also organise a raffle through its social media platforms, with four participants who complete the inspection set to receive a free set of tyres.
According to Colonel Talal Al Mansouri, Director of the Traffic Awareness Department at Dubai Police, reducing road fatalities remains a priority as traffic accidents continue to pose a significant risk to road users. He said Dubai Police is working with relevant entities to support the UAE's national objective of lowering deaths resulting from road accidents. During the campaign launch, Al Mansouri and Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi also recognised members of the Traffic Safety and Awareness Team for their contributions to road safety initiatives.
Bin Hindi said the campaign aligns with the objectives of the 'We the UAE 2031' vision, which aims to position the country among the world's leading nations for safety and security. He added that the initiative also reflects ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Interior, police authorities and strategic partners to strengthen traffic safety through modern technologies, smart systems and public awareness programmes.
