Dubai's FZN Makes Its Debut on World’s 50 Best Restaurants List
The three-Michelin-starred Dubai restaurant joins the 51-100 ranking for the first time.
FZN has made its debut on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants extended list, entering at No. 88. The Dubai restaurant, which already holds three Michelin stars, appears on the 51-100 ranking released on October 21st, ahead of the top 50 being announced in Lima on November 4th.
Located at Atlantis The Palm, FZN opened in late 2024 under Swedish chef Björn Frantzén, with Danish chef Torsten Vildgaard serving as Executive Chef. In May 2025, it became the first restaurant in the UAE to receive three Michelin stars, a rating it retained in the 2026 Dubai guide.
The Michelin Guide and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants use separate systems. Michelin awards stars through its own inspection process, while the 50 Best list is based on votes from more than 1,100 Academy members across 28 regions, with Deloitte acting as independent adjudicator.
FZN is one of three restaurants in the Frantzén group to hold three Michelin stars. Frantzén in Stockholm, which has held three stars since 2018, appears at No. 58 on this year’s extended 50 Best list. Zén in Singapore has held three stars since 2021.
The 51-100 ranking spans 25 territories and 36 cities this year. Nine restaurants are new entries, including Ling Long in Shanghai at No. 53, the highest new entry, and Nelita in São Paulo at No. 54. The Ledbury in London also returns to the list at No. 83 for the first time since 2019.
Dubai’s other three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Trèsind Studio, does not appear on the extended list. The remaining 50 restaurants will be revealed on November 4th.
