Talaat Moustafa Group Signs EGP 11 Trillion Development Deal

Talaat Moustafa Group has signed an agreement with the state to develop four mixed-use projects across East Cairo, Alexandria and the North Coast, with total targeted investment of around EGP 11 trillion.

The developments will cover more than 37 million square metres and are projected to generate around EGP 2.4 trillion in direct and indirect tax revenues, alongside approximately six million direct and indirect jobs.

CEO and Managing Director Hisham Talaat Moustafa outlined the projects during Egypt Forum 2026 in the New Capital. The first will cover five million square metres along the corridor connecting Suez Road with Madinaty, with targeted investment of EGP 3.2 trillion and projected tax revenues exceeding EGP 700 billion. It is planned as a mixed-use development spanning residential, commercial, administrative and recreational uses.

A second project covering 11.3 million square metres in central Alexandria is targeting EGP 1.7 trillion in investment and EGP 375 billion in tax revenues. The development will follow the group’s existing urban models in Al Rehab, Madinaty and Noor.

The largest of the four projects will be developed next to the new Abu Qir port on a 10 million square metre site. Targeted investment stands at EGP 5 trillion, with projected tax revenues of EGP 1.1 trillion. The development will combine industrial, logistics, real estate and tourism uses, with free zones intended to support production and exports.

The fourth project will cover 10.4 million square metres on the North Coast between Kilo 147 and Kilo 151. Modelled after SouthMed, it is targeting EGP 970 billion in investment and EGP 215 billion in tax revenues.
