Educational Certificate Attestation Now Fully Online in the UAE

Educational certificate attestation in the UAE is now fully digital, with eligible applications processed within two hours during official working hours through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website and smart application.

The ministry said the service is designed to help students and graduates complete the authentication of educational documents more quickly, and encouraged graduates from the 2025–2026 academic year to submit their applications online.

The digital service covers a range of educational documents, including certificates issued under the Ministry of Education curriculum, qualifications from international schools and documents issued by recognised educational institutions. Certificates issued through the Ministry of Education, TAMM, and the Sharjah Private Education Authority can also be authenticated through the ministry's digital platform.

According to the ministry, UAE-issued electronic documents that include a verification feature such as a QR code, barcode or reference number can be processed digitally within two hours. Documents submitted through courier service providers require between one and three working days, depending on the selected company and destination.

The service also supports the attestation of other eligible digital documents, including birth certificates, death certificates and police clearance certificates. The ministry noted that applications containing incorrect information, altered or non-original documents, or documents that do not meet the service requirements will be rejected. Once approved, users can download their digitally attested documents through the 'My Applications' section of the ministry's website.
