Egyptian Agricultural Products Gain Access to 21 New Export Markets

Twenty-one new export markets were opened to Egyptian agricultural products during the first half of 2026, expanding access across Asia, North America, Central America and South America, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The new destinations include Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Afghanistan in Asia; Mexico in North America; Panama, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic in Central America; and Peru and Uruguay in South America. The ministry announced the latest market openings on July 5th.

According to the ministry, the expansion reflects growing international confidence in the quality and safety of Egyptian agricultural products, which it attributed to stricter oversight and the application of international standards through Egypt's plant quarantine system.
