Egyptian Remittances Rise 28% to USD 29.7 Billion in Seven Months
Remittances from Egyptians abroad reached USD 29.7 billion from January to July 2026, up 28.1% year-on-year.

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached USD 29.7 billion in the first seven months of 2026, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
The figure covers transfers recorded from January through July and represents a 28.1% increase from USD 23.2 billion during the same period in 2025.
Monthly inflows also remained higher in July, reaching USD 4.5 billion compared with USD 3.8 billion in July 2025, an increase of 20%.
The Central Bank presented the July figure alongside the cumulative seven-month total, showing continued year-on-year growth in remittance inflows during 2026.
