Hot-air balloon flights resumed in Luxor on September 15th, 2026, following a three-month pause, with test flights carried out as operators prepared for the new tourist season.

The initial flights took off without tourists, allowing operators to check balloon readiness and confirm suitable weather conditions before commercial trips resume.
