Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Lands in Cairo
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the Saudi crown prince at Cairo Airport ahead of two days of talks.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Cairo on September 15th, 2026 for a two-day state visit, where he was received at Cairo Airport by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Egyptian presidency said the programme includes a bilateral meeting between President El-Sisi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, followed by an expanded session of talks between the Egyptian and Saudi delegations.
Discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations and major regional developments, including the escalating security situation in Yemen and the Red Sea.
President El-Sisi is also scheduled to host a lunch banquet in honour of the Saudi crown prince during the visit.
The trip comes amid continued coordination between Cairo and Riyadh over regional security issues. Earlier on September 15th, Egypt renewed its condemnation of ongoing Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its solidarity with Riyadh, describing the security of the two countries as interconnected.
