IncluCoin Launched in Abu Dhabi to Support People of Determination

A new commemorative coin described as the world's first dedicated to supporting People of Determination has been unveiled in Abu Dhabi, with proceeds set to fund projects that promote inclusion and improve quality of life.

Known as the IncluCoin for Sustainable Impact, the limited-edition coin was introduced by the Department of Community Development in collaboration with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma'an, the Zayed Authority for People of Determination and the Central Bank of the UAE during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Excellence Award for People of Determination Inclusion (Damj).

Funds raised through the initiative will support autism care, inclusion programmes and community living initiatives for adults with disabilities. The coin's design was inspired by People of Determination, while a dedicated platform launched by Ma'an allows individuals and organisations to obtain the coin and contribute directly to inclusive community projects.

According to the participating organisations, the initiative is intended to establish a sustainable funding mechanism that supports the long-term inclusion, independence and community participation of People of Determination, in line with the Abu Dhabi Strategy for People of Determination.

The launch also highlights the growing focus on the "Purple Economy", an approach centred on expanding economic participation through accessible environments, employment opportunities and inclusive services.
