Nafis Launches New Alpha Programme Batch for Students
The programme introduces Emirati middle school students to private sector work environments and future career skills.
The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, in collaboration with the Nafis Youth Council, has launched the second batch of the Alpha Programme with Emirates National Schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
The programme targets Emirati middle school students and is designed to develop future job skills and increase familiarity with private sector work culture.
Private sector partners participating in the initiative include Presight, PwC, AtkinsRéalis, Deloitte and Bee’ah Group.
According to the council, the programme aligns with the long-term strategic direction of Nafis and broader efforts to prepare Generation Alpha for economic transformation through workplace awareness and skills development.
The programme is divided into two phases. The first phase includes interactive workshops held at Emirates National Schools branches in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The sessions are delivered by members of the Nafis Youth Council and focus on future career options as well as personal and professional development skills including CV writing and interview preparation.
The second phase consists of a five-day job simulation programme conducted with participating private sector companies. During the simulation, students are introduced to real-world private sector working environments as part of efforts to build confidence and develop professional skills.
