National Food Factory to Process 5,000 Tonnes of Produce Annually

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has showcased the National Food Factory at the 10th Al Dhaid Date Festival, highlighting an integrated agri-industrial facility under development in the Hamda area of Mleiha.

Presented during the festival, which runs until July 26th at Expo Al Dhaid, the project is designed to maximise the value of locally produced agricultural products while supporting farmers and producers as part of the UAE's wider food security efforts.

According to the Sharjah Chamber, the factory will provide end-to-end services spanning food processing, packaging, drying, storage and logistics, with a planned annual production capacity of 5,000 metric tonnes serving domestic, regional and international markets.

The facility will also offer date and vegetable processing, contract manufacturing and packaging, private-label production, as well as advanced warehousing and logistics services.

The chamber said the project has been developed as an integrated industrial platform supporting the full food and agricultural value chain. It is expected to serve date farmers, agricultural companies, marketing cooperatives, food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, retailers, exporters, and businesses operating in the hospitality and catering sectors.
