Nol–Jaywan Cards to Offer Over 120 Discounts in Dubai
The new cards will combine public transport payments with Jaywan services and more than 120 promotional offers.
The Roads and Transport Authority will begin rolling out a new generation of nol–Jaywan cards in Dubai this month, combining public transport payments with wider digital payment services and more than 120 promotional offers and exclusive discounts.
Developed in collaboration with Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE, the cards merge the existing nol system with Jaywan, the UAE’s national card payment scheme. Cardholders will be able to use the same system for travel while accessing Jaywan payment services for other day-to-day transactions.
The new cards will also support digital activation and use through Android and iOS smartphones, reducing the need to carry a physical card. A trial phase is scheduled to begin this month across RTA public transport services, taxis and public parking, with broader integration across public and private transport planned.
The rollout forms part of RTA’s transition of the nol system to account-based ticketing technology, intended to connect transport and payment services within a single platform and expand cashless payment options.
