Saudi Electronic University Renamed to Honour Late Prince

Saudi Electronic University has been renamed Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University by directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, following a recommendation by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

The new name honours the late Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman Al Saud for his national contributions and his role as one of the Kingdom’s prominent statesmen.

Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan said the decision reflects continued support for the education sector and preserves the legacy of a figure whose career was closely connected to key stages in the Kingdom’s institutional development.

Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University President Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Mardi said the name carries both national and academic significance and aligns with the university’s role in expanding access to education and developing capabilities.
