Saudi Employers Must Notify Job Applicants Within 30 Days

Employers in Saudi Arabia must inform job applicants whether they have been accepted or rejected within 30 days of an interview, with failure to do so considered a violation of labour regulations.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development said candidates who do not receive a decision within the required period can report non-compliant establishments through the ministry’s official application.

The ministry added that failing to issue an interview result, or breaching regulations governing job advertisements and interview procedures, gives affected applicants grounds to file an official complaint.

The rules form part of a wider effort to standardise how private-sector vacancies are advertised and how interviews are conducted, with the ministry seeking to improve the quality and transparency of services provided to job seekers.
