Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended the International Space Summit in Paris on behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

The summit, co-chaired by France and Germany, brought together heads of state and government alongside senior representatives from the global space sector.

Discussions focused on the future of international cooperation in space, challenges facing the global space economy, the development of space science and technologies, and security and economic issues linked to the sector’s rapid expansion.

Participants also examined the growing role of satellite services in communications, navigation, Earth observation, resource management and digital services, as well as their applications in agriculture, energy, transportation, disaster management and weather forecasting.

The talks highlighted the need for greater coordination between countries on space security, sustainability and responsible use as the number of satellites and commercial projects continues to grow.
