Ticketless Paid Parking Introduced at Wafi Mall

A ticketless paid parking system has been introduced at Wafi Mall in Dubai, with Parkonic now managing the facility through automatic payment linked to motorists' Salik accounts.

The system uses number plate recognition to scan vehicles on arrival and generate a digital parking ticket, removing the need for paper tickets. Visitors can pay by scanning a QR code displayed on site, while unpaid parking fees are automatically deducted from the linked Salik account when exiting.

Parking charges apply Monday to Friday, while Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays remain free. On chargeable days, the first three hours of parking are free. Parking between three and four hours costs AED 15, with AED 10 charged for each additional hour or part thereof.

Motorists who return after a two-hour cooling period become eligible for another three hours of free parking on the same day. Loading bay vehicles receive an additional free hour upon validation. Cash payments and parking machines are not available, and motorists without a Salik account—or with insufficient balance—must complete payment using an alternative method before leaving. Failure to pay applicable fees may result in fines, blacklisting and legal action.

The rollout adds Wafi Mall to Parkonic's growing network of ticketless parking locations, which also includes West Yas Plaza, Yas Bay and Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, selected Choithrams branches across the UAE, Discovery Gardens in Dubai, and the Palm Jumeirah Crescent.
