Water Content Programme Opens for Creators Ahead of UN Conference

The National Media Authority has launched the Blue Content Creators Programme with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Federal Youth Authority to train 50 Emiratis and UAE residents in producing digital content focused on water awareness.

Applications are open from October 12th to 30th, with selected participants taking part in three weeks of training during November. The programme will cover water-related issues, storytelling, video production, digital publishing strategies and the use of artificial intelligence tools in content creation.

The initiative is being held ahead of the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, which will take place in Abu Dhabi from December 8th to 10th and will be co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal. Participants will be expected to develop content connected to the conference and the wider issues it addresses.

The programme is open to UAE citizens and residents aged 18 to 35 with an interest in content creation, media, water, the environment or sustainability. Organisers said selections will aim to reflect the diversity of UAE society while giving young creators a role in expanding public awareness around water-related challenges.
