Album Spotlight | The Synaptik - Al Taman
We had the opportunity to sit down with Synaptik for an exclusive interview ahead of his latest performance in Cairo.
For years now, Jordanian-Palestinian rapper The Synaptik has solidified his presence in the regional rap scene as an artist whose work stands apart from his contemporaries. His first full length album, ‘Om Al Mawjat’, showcased his ability to craft cohesive bodies of work through smart collaborations with some of the region's most prominent rappers, and introduced a distinct sound that was unique to him.
Having gone fully independent, The Synaptik launched his own record label, Milq Records, under which his new album ‘Al Taman’ was released, featuring an array of guest artists and exclusive production credits to Wardenclyph.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Synaptik for an exclusive SceneNoise interview ahead of his album launch party performance at Cairo Jazz Club. During our conversation, the rapper offered an in-depth discussion of his latest album, exploring its central themes, the creative direction behind the project, and the numerous collaborations featured on the record. Synaptik also opened up about his personal life during the time he was creating the album, sharing how the escalating genocide in his homeland of Palestine profoundly impacted his artistic process and reflections.
