Audio Bus Launches New Production & Tech Rider Workshop Series

Audio Bus, a Cairo-based creative space and music education platform, is kicking off a new workshop series for music production and technical riders with 200 Shams and Nazli Reda, on March 25.

Hosted in partnership with Yellow Tape Records, Maadi, in this series, Audio Bus will be inviting guest speakers from the music industry to share their expertise. The first edition includes two workshops, the first being ‘How Not to Produce Music’, taught by 200 Shams. In this workshop, the Egyptian electronic producer will show simpler ways to create music, sharing insights into his distinctive non-linear approach with key tips for an easier music-making process.

Meanwhile, Cairo-based live sound engineer and founder of Nazli’s Noise, Nazli Reda will lead a hands-on workshop, titled ‘How Not to Write Technical Rider’, delving into the basics of signal flow, the crucial parts of a tech rider, common pitfalls to avoid and effective communication of technical requirements.

Besides this new series, Audio Bus is also offering an intro to music theory workshop, led by pianist and live performer Tarek Hussien –for which classes are scheduled to begin in April 7th.

All workshops are open to producers, musicians, artist managers, and event planners of all skill levels. You can now register for the Audio Bus’ new workshop series via their official website.
