British-Moroccan Producer Bluetoof Drops Introspective EP 'INFA004'

British-Moroccan DJ and producer Bluetoof, aka Ben Farjani, has unveiled his latest surprise EP ‘INFA004’ on his label Infa Red.

Released in December 2023, the project features five tracks available on Bandcamp, namely ‘Lost between A & N’, ‘newt Licker’, ‘T’s Dunya’, ‘escape rope’ and ‘Amphibian Loop Tool’, adding up to a compilation of trance-heavy and disjointed soundscapes. His dark percussive musical trademark is complemented by progressive and warped bass-lines, married to tripped out vocals, most of which are his own. Positioning itself as a rave-ready EP, ‘INFA004’ draws its sonic inspiration from his day to day adventures, going as far as recording dubbed-out and pitched-down vocals in airplane bathrooms.

Bluetoof often taps into his Moroccan roots, fusing sounds from his heritage with breakbeats and techno. While his label's promising start has garnered support from established figures in the scene such as electronic producers Mad Miran, re:ni, Tammo Hesselink, his varied style showcases a seamless blend of different influences, resulting in a distinctive sound that has earned him a prominent presence in the UK and beyond.

The DJ delivers performances at renowned venues across the UK and EU, including Fabric, Bakken, Parklife, Dimensions, Hidden, and more. A prime example of his style can be experienced during his weekly residency on Rinse FM, where he explores his eclectic musical preferences.
