Elyanna Challenges Gender Roles in Sarcastic Latin-Pop Single ‘BOSA’

Leaning into a sun-soaked, Latin-tinged pop sound, Palestinian-Chilean sensation Elyanna returns with ‘BOSA’, a vibrant cut that completely subverts the usual rules of attraction.

Released via SALXCO UAM and Virgin Music Group, the track marks her first music since sharing stadium stages with Coldplay and featuring on the official 2026 FIFA World Cup soundtrack alongside Jessie Reyez on ‘Illuminate’.

Pivoting away from the cinematic textures of her debut album 'Woledto', the new single steps into a summery soundscape shaped by super-producer RedOne. Nodding to the driving rhythms of mid-2000s dance-pop, the arrangement pairs fiery string runs with a bouncy beat, effortlessly blending Arabic phrasing with Latin flair.

At the core of the track is a sharp, role-reversing narrative. Co-written alongside her brother Fairdose, Massari, and Moustafa Hadouta, ‘BOSA’ sees Elyanna hijack the bravado and pick-up lines typical of male suitors, turning a repeated demand for a kiss into a defiant, humor-packed chant for female agency.
