In our second episode, award-winning film director and multidisciplinary artist Mai Elgizouli walks us through the making of ‘Farasha’, the video for Alsarah’s latest track, which features fellow Sudanese musicians, Flippter and Sufvn.
Elgizouli unpacks her favourite scene and references in ‘Farasha’, while explaining how she draws inspiration from mixing between traditional and contemporary Sudanese influence, which she beautifully deploys throughout her work.
