Mohamed Choucair Turns Israeli Drones into an Instrument of Resilienc

Lebanese sound artist Mohamed Choucair, a member of Radio Alhara and founder of Ballroom, has crafted an instrument using the sounds of Israeli drones that constantly hover over Beirut. These drones, part of Israel’s ongoing and unjustified aggression against Lebanon, are a daily reminder of surveillance and violence. Choucair reclaims these sounds, transforming them into a tool for creative expression.

The instrument is available for free download and includes a suggested donation link supporting an open kitchen, which provides meals to those displaced by the attacks. Choucair’s initiative turns a symbol of oppression into a gesture of resilience and solidarity, using art to stand against aggression while supporting those affected by it.

Download the instrument and visit the donation link via Mohamed Choucair’s Instagram account at @mohamedchoucair.
