Music Academy Kasata to Host Launch Party in Syria January 25th
The party will be headlined by Beirut-based Syrian indie-rock trio Tanjaret Daghet.
Kasata, a newly-established production house and music academy in Syria, is set to host a launch party in Damascus on January 25th.
Spurred on by Boshoco and Maher Green, Kasata aims to revitalise the underground music and art scene in Syria by fostering a creative space for both emerging and established artists to collaborate, explore and develop their sounds through a series of mentorships and workshops.
The launch party will be headlined by Beirut-based Syrian indie-rock trio Tanjaret Daghet, who will be returning to their hometown for the first time since the war broke out in 2011.
They will be joined by Kasata’s mastermind and Syrian veteran selector Boshoco. The night will also feature live jam sessions by a fresh lineup of emerging homegrown artists like guitarist Fadi Omran and percussionist Shafek Yaghi.
The event will be held at B.Lounge in the quaint neighbourhood of Bab Sharqi, and will be recorded and broadcast at a later date on Radio Al Hara.
