In our latest edition of ‘Rap of the Week’, we round up the standout new releases shaping the region’s hip-hop scene this week, from Wingz to Hleem Taj Alser and Double Zuksh’s star-studded collaboration with Mohamed Ramadan and Sacky.
Tunisian hip-hop artist Wingz delivers ‘Steven Spielberg’, a sample-driven boom-bap track from his new EP White Noise, which serves as a thematic sequel to his latest album, Party Life. Egyptian duo Double Zuksh join forces with Mohamed Ramadan and Italian rapper Sacky for ‘Pacco’, a flex-heavy collaboration built around braggadocious verses and larger-than-life energy. Moroccan rapper Mirv returns with ‘WA3RA’, blending contemporary hip-hop with aesthetics inspired by traditional Moroccan Tbourida, while Sudanese rapper Hleem Taj Alser takes a more laid-back approach on the trap-driven ‘Van Cleef’.
The playlist also features Bn Khalti with ‘Esta7malt’, Saud G and Elyannis with ‘Seerlah’, and LOUN with ‘Lfitna’.
