Tunisian House Collective ‘Downtown Vibes’ Will Hold Birthday Festival
This year, Downtown Vibes is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a weekend-long non-stop music festival.
Over the course of the past decade, renowned Tunisian house music collective ‘Downtown Vibes’ has been busting chops in an effort to provide local producers with a platform to showcase their talents, and ultimately build a community united by their love of music.
From intimate rooftop sessions to full on raves like ‘c’, Downtown Vibes always seems to have the party-goers experience at the forefront of their organisation. And this year they’re kicking it up a notch (or ten) with a weekend-long non-stop music festival dubbed ’10 Years of Downtown Vibes’.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the festival will be held on the beachfront in Residence Shiri (Kef Abed – Bizerte) from Friday, June 9th to Sunday, June 11th. Music will start from 6 PM on Friday, and the beats will keep on bumping continuously until 11 AM Sunday.
The organisers have put together a massive 15-strong line-up which includes three international spinners: Luca Lozano (UK), Mr.Ho (Hong Kong) and DVDE (France). The rest of the line-up consists of some of the most prominent local artists making waves in the Tunisian scene like Bedoui, Hamdi Ryder and Youstaaz.
When it comes to accommodation, partygoers will be provided with a large camping area, as well as some bungalows to rent. A chill zone will be set up and will include some local food brands, as well as a creator village in collaboration with Minassa (an incubator that supports creative industries in Tunisia). Different activities will be available for all the participants to enjoy such as Paddle board, Kayaking, and Volleyball - and for something a little less physical, you will be able to get your hands on some retro games in the chill area.
