2027 World Darts Championship Heads to Egypt

Egypt's calendar of international sporting events continues to grow, with the country set to host the 2027 World Darts Championship.

The tournament adds another major international competition to Egypt's schedule, reflecting continued investment in sports infrastructure and the country's growing role as a destination for global events. The Ministry of Youth and Sports said the championship also highlights the confidence international sports federations have in Egypt's organisational capabilities.

In addition to bringing some of the world's leading darts players to Egypt, the tournament is expected to support tourism while making further use of the country's expanding network of sports venues and event management expertise.

The hosting agreement was signed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports during a ceremony attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil, Major General Khaled Fouda, Adviser to the President for Local Development and Chairman of the tournament's Supreme Organising Committee, alongside senior officials from the ministry and the Egyptian Darts Federation.
