Dubai Basketball Appoints Barcelona Coaching Legend Xavi Pascual
Pascual's arrival follows Dubai Basketball's first ABA League title and maiden EuroLeague season.
Dubai Basketball, the UAE's professional basketball club competing in the ABA League and EuroLeague, has appointed Xavi Pascual as its new head coach on a three-year contract running through 2029.
Pascual arrives with one of the strongest coaching records in European basketball. Across 385 EuroLeague games, he has recorded 256 victories, giving him a 66.5% winning percentage—the third highest in the competition's history among coaches who have led more than 100 games.
The appointment comes as Dubai Basketball builds on a landmark season that saw the club win its first ABA League championship and compete in its inaugural EuroLeague campaign. The club said Pascual's experience and track record at the highest level will guide its next phase of development.
