Egypt’s Mazen Zaki Takes ‘Gozoour’ Back to Its Roots Across Egypt
The stylist and brand owner re-imagines the country through the lens of his label ‘Gozoour’.

When it comes to inspiration, Mazen Zaki looks both inward and outward. As the founder of Gozoour, his work is rooted in cultural storytelling, drawing from the layers of Egyptian identity. Over the years, he has collaborated with some of Egypt’s most exciting brands and entities, including Anghami, Azza Fahmy, Trzi, The Stahps, Defacto, and Maison Saedi.
A fashion graduate from MSA University, Zaki has spent the last five years styling, three years art-directing, and two years designing. For Zaki, Egypt has always been central to his vision, but not in the way most expect. "Everyone sees pharaohs, but I see Upper Egyptians—the evolution of pharaohs," he explains. His work embraces this modern evolution, weaving Egyptian heritage into his styling through silhouettes, textures, and subtle details. "I like to use style to embody different characters, always with an Egyptian twist."
Right now, he’s knee-deep in his Spring/Summer 2025 collection, inspired by a John Launois photograph of Upper Egyptian women crossing the water.
In this Scene Styled selects, Zaki curates five looks inspired by different Egyptian cities and towns, each reflecting its distinct culture and aesthetic.
