Tunisian Tennis Player Ons Jabeur Signs deal with Saudi’s Kayanee
Now sponsored by the Saudi fitness brand, Jabeur becomes the first player outfitted by a Saudi label.
Tunisian tennis champion Ons Jabeur has signed a new sponsorship deal that sees her represent Saudi Arabia's fitness and wellness brand, Kayanee. Having risen to become one of the most prominent faces of women's tennis across North Africa and the Middle East, Jabeur's endorsement is a major step for the upstart company.
Owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Kayanee was launched last year with the goal of promoting health, wellness and an active lifestyle for women in Saudi Arabia and beyond. Chaired by Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al-Saud, Kayanee aims to inspire women to get involved with fitness through its apparel, programs and services. Now sponsored by the fitness brand, Jabeur becomes the first player outfitted by a Saudi label.
Jabeur will debut an exclusive tennis line designed just for her by Kayanee at this month's Australian Open. Always vocal in her support for the region, Jabeur played an exhibition match in Riyadh late last year, making her amongst the first women to compete professionally in Saudi Arabia. Her partnership with Kayanee is yet another milestone that aims to see more women in the kingdom embracing tennis and an active lifestyle.
