Elie Saab to Design $598 Million Resort in Maldives

Dubai-based real estate company SAMANA Developers has announced its collaboration with luxury fashion brand ELIE SAAB to launch SAMANA Ocean Views Interiors by ELIE SAAB, an exclusive resort in the Maldives.

The project, located in the picturesque Maldivian archipelago, will span 47,100 square meters and is situated 20 minutes by speedboat from Hanimaadhoo Airport or 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé. The 190-key resort will feature beachfront villas, over-water bungalows, and poolside apartments, all with ELIE SAAB's signature aesthetic of soft neutral palettes, refined finishes, and premium materials. Additionally, the interiors will incorporate ELIE SAAB Maison furniture crafted in Italy’s Brianza region, emphasizing sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship.

Valued at USD 598 million, the development will offer a range of luxury amenities, such as a spa, wellness center, fine dining restaurants, a dive center, and coral restoration initiatives.

Construction is set to begin following 120 days of environmental engineering work to protect the marine ecosystem, with project completion anticipated in 2029.
